Well: new kernel, new gcc...
Perhaps it's time for another vmware-any-any-update?

Let's see if VmWare releases a fix.

I too too the plunge and installed a fresh copy of the 64 Bit openSUSE 11.1 and so far so good ...... or not
I have tried to get VMware server installed, tried version 1.0.8 but it won't compile correctly. I did get the gcc version error and typed yes to continue, shortly afterwards the VMware install stops. I never had this issue with openSUSE 11. Would be interesting to hear if anyone has had similar issues or has any suggestions.
I don't want to try VMware Server 2, looks like bloatware.
